The Design team at Upside works to craft simple and impactful experiences for both sides of our marketplace (merchants + consumers). We are a small but mighty team that guides our customers through each interaction they have with the brand, ensuring they are always informed and empowered to earn. About the job:

Are you a seasoned Senior Content Designer with proven experience? Join our outstanding team of designers to help elevate the way we communicate. Together, with the rest of the Design Team, you’ll work to optimize our process, tools, and help uplevel Design Culture at Upside.

What you'll do:

• Conceptualize, compose, edit, and meticulously evaluate in-product language seamlessly integrated into complex product workflows, interfaces, educational materials, nomenclature, taxonomies, and other pivotal content across our diverse range of products and experiences.
• Exhibit proactive autonomy in identifying and driving cross-functional projects that transcend team boundaries, demonstrating your expertise in navigating sophisticated challenges.
• Facilitate a collaborative environment by providing and receiving valuable feedback from fellow UXers, contributing to the continuous improvement of our top-tier products.
• Contribute to design mockups using Figma, showcasing your ability to craft high-quality solutions.
• Apply systems thinking to product design, encompassing the development of adaptable design system guidelines, comprehensive evaluations of existing user experiences, and the structuring of intuitive information architectures.
• Collaborate effectively with our Product Marketing teams to craft impactful product narratives, using your strategic insights and direction.
• Display proficiency in coding principles and their role in software, including conducting reviews to ensure the desired functionality of in-product language and crafting personalized user experiences.
• Work closely with Product Managers and Research partners to translate user insights into intuitive, user-centric experiences that resonate with both consumers and businesses.
• Engage in exploratory initiatives, optimize processes and tools, iterate based on feedback, and drive outcomes while maintaining momentum.
• Advocate passionately for Design Culture and Best Practices, imparting your wealth of experience to inspire the team.

What you need:

• 7+ years in UX writing and content strategy, highlighting your ability to distill sophisticated concepts into compelling content for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrate outstanding communication skills in simplifying intricate ideas, catering to various partners.
• Examples of finished wireframes, or design mocks co-authored using design tools.
• Familiarity with tools for managing and updating content at scale.
• Examples of work in design systems and systems thinking.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects with minimal direction and handling a large degree of ambiguity.
• Embody a Human-Centered approach to Design, rooted in empathy for users and internal collaborators.
• Demonstrate the ability to back decisions with data-driven insights and research.
• Exhibit a passion for experimentation, showcasing your dedication to innovative and impactful solutions.

• Location: This is a fully-remote role that may sit anywhere in the United States. You're welcome to work from our DC, Austin, Chicago or New York office if you're in-region.
