Senior Content Marketing Manager

The Content Marketing Team is looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to write and edit a variety of engaging content for startups and small-to-medium businesses. This role will author content ranging from email series to blogs, contribute to content marketing strategy and planning, publish content on DigitalOcean's website, and collaborate with a range of teams to create compelling content. This role is ideal for someone who is a versatile writer, comfortable with both short- and medium-form content, and has an interest in startups/small businesses and the cloud computing space.
What You'll Be Doing:

• Write compelling short and medium-form content, including email series, blogs, webpage copy, video scripts, and sales collateral.
• Copyedit a variety of content from other authors to ensure it is within our style guidelines.
• Research for and author content pieces on topics ranging from startup advice to cloud computing education.
• Collaborate with internal and external experts including product marketing and sales team members to gather information that informs content creation.
• Contribute to regular content planning, proposing ideas for new content topics and initiatives.
• Work with our design and development teams to source graphic assets and publish blogs and other content in our Content Management System.
• Conduct keyword research to identify opportunity areas for our blog and resource hub
• Collaborate with growth marketing, demand generation, and other teams on content campaigns.
• Support the Content Marketing Team on special projects including research reports and new content launches.

What You'll Add to DigitalOcean:

• 5-8 years in a content marketing or writing-focused role, with a proven track record of creating high-quality content in a variety of formats.
• A passion for writing and editing short and medium-form content, with excellent storytelling abilities, editing instincts, and grammatical skills.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once and work cross-functionally to ensure deadlines are met.
• Experience working with stakeholders across a business, including Product Marketing, Product/Engineering teams, and Sales translating technical topics into digestible content.
• An interest in writing for small businesses and startups on a range of topics.
• Experience writing SEO-optimized content and knowledge of SEO best practices
• Experience creating content for technical or startup audiences is a plus.

• We reward our employees . The base salary range for this position is between $90,000-$110,000 based on relevant years of experience and skills. The salary range for this role is specific to candidates located within the U.S. and will vary for candidates outside the U.S..
