Job Description

Unanet is looking for a Senior Copywriter to join our growing Marketing Team! In collaboration with our Content Manager, you will write, review, and edit all content for marketing assets and campaigns.
What You'll Do
  • Draft compelling copy for our website, landing pages, emails, digital ads, and other campaign materials (e.g., event promotional collateral)
  • Collaborate with our team to deliver copy for marketing and sales campaigns
  • Participate in campaign and brand story ideation
  • Develop content briefs optimized for target keywords
  • Conduct research to optimize copy for SEO performance, and contribute to our overall keyword research and strategy across our website and other digital advertising
  • Partner with our Marketing team and other stakeholders to deliver insightful and engaging content that supports a diverse set of digital campaigns
  • Lead interviews with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop content needed to drive high-performing campaigns
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of our brand voice and messaging guidelines while ensuring consistent voice and tone across all copy
  • Create exceptional written content for use across all marketing and sales stages, in all channels (e.g., tradeshow/events, email, social media, sales enablement, etc.)
  • Develop original short and long-form content that supports inbound marketing strategies, lead generation, lead nurturing and brand awareness campaigns that contribute to revenue growth
  • Develop ideas into new content that can be implemented to support existing marketing initiatives
  • Support digital content (e.g., planning, creative development, publishing, quality assurance, tracking) and optimize new and existing materials to support business needs
  • Plan, update, and maintain content including blog and landing pages
  • Partner closely with Graphic Designers, Marketers and other teams to come up with creative solutions to meet business goals
  • Stay up to date on competitors, aggregating research, and sharing findings
  • Participate in project quality assurance to ensure final copy has been correctly implemented online and conduct site audits to identify, document, and correct errors
  • Review writing guidelines for inconsistencies and escalate them to the appropriate attention

Your First 90 Days
In your first 30 days, you will become familiar with our customers, products, the industries we serve, as well as our approach to marketing, sales, and customer success. You will review existing content to understand market, tone, and content scope. You will familiarize yourself with our keywords, existing content plan, and upcoming initiatives, and work across our Marketing Team to understand business needs and requirements. Finally, you will review existing content and conversion metrics to understand what has been successful in the past and begin writing smaller pieces to familiarize yourself with process and content.
In your first 60 days, you will start to review materials and flag items you might want to rewrite or update. You will take ownership of our writing tasks, help develop a new content approval process, and work with our team to devise our content roadmap and associated deliverables.
In your first 90 days, you will create a writing style guide to help direct all future content by and for Unanet, identify content gaps and create a plan to build on existing content, and take ownership of writing tasks on behalf of our marketing team.
Who You Are
  • 7+ years' copywriting experience in an agency or as part of an in-house corporate marketing team
  • Demonstrable knowledge of B2B marketing for SaaS technology companies
  • Breadth of demand generation experience (e.g., SEO, inbound, digital, social, events, account based digital marketing)
  • Exceptional creativity with respect to project conceptualization and content writing
  • Keen attention to detail; ability to prioritize and balance multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate across varying communication styles and technical backgrounds
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating your abilities with content development, editing, social media, long-form content (e.g., white papers, case studies)
  • Advance proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) and HubSpot
  • Demonstrable experience in creating voice and tone from a branding perspective
  • Experience

Your Differentiators
  • Prior experience serving the Government Contracting (GovCon) or Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry
  • Prior experience copywriting for B2B SaaS companies
  • Knowledge of Axios IO, G-Suite and desktop publishing software a plus

The salary range for this opportunity is $100,000 - $115,000 per year. You will be eligible for employee equity as well as discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time.
