This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Analyst (SQL, Power BI, Looker) in Canada.
This role provides an opportunity to leverage data to drive strategic decisions across large-scale platform initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that influence business and product strategies. The position involves designing dashboards, monitoring KPIs, and forecasting trends to improve platform performance and user engagement. You will have the autonomy to shape analytical solutions while collaborating with product, engineering, and business stakeholders. This is a fully remote role in Canada, offering flexibility and the chance to impact high-visibility projects in a dynamic, data-driven environment.
Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to identify, define, and solve business challenges using data-driven approaches.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to provide actionable insights that influence business and product strategies.
- Design and deliver impactful dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Looker, or similar tools.
- Monitor and report on KPIs and OKRs to track platform performance and business outcomes.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver analytical solutions.
- Develop advanced data models and apply statistical techniques to forecast trends and guide decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity through validation, cleaning, and transformation, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis or a related quantitative role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing data.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Looker, or similar visualization tools.
- Experience with ELT/data warehouse tools such as Snowflake, Airflow, or dbt.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data modeling and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to present insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience in SaaS environments, large-scale product analytics, or enterprise product ecosystems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
