Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: 801 Grand Avenue, Suite 2600, Des Moines, IA 50309 (*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.)

Job Duties: Construct process models, source to target maps, and extract, transform and load processes utilizing tools such as Excel, SQL Server Integration Services, and Informatica. Perform data analysis in SQL Server in support of new development and defect resolution. Support Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) enterprise initiative. Perform source-to-target mappings between third party administrator policy data, enterprise data marts, central data system repository and financial data repository. Design and implement extraction procedures between third party administration and enterprise data system, enterprise data system and central data system, case management system and enterprise data system, and enterprise data system and financial data system. Responsible for the design and implementation of new and enhanced database objects, including tables, views, functions, procedures and indexes. Provide and coordinate activities related to defect resolution, and performance tuning data warehouse processes. Provide subject matter expertise to database administrators performing data analysis, defect root cause analysis and issue identification and resolution tasks. Construct new programs and enhance existing programs using SQL, SSIS, and Informatica functions, and procedures to address customer requirements. Develop batch command instructions to support required functions, as necessary. Participate in the design and implementation of creating a report-only database from an existing transactional data warehouse based on user requirements. Conduct analysis using tools, such as, SQL, Informatica and Snowflake cloud. Implement entity relationship diagrams, data and process flow diagrams for instructional and administrative purposes. Responsible for the review of data warehouse designs, implementation, and relative quality assurance documentation. Review test plans, test files and test scripts in support of the quality assurance teams. Responsible for the design and implementation of business rules using tables, views, functions and procedures. Provide subject matter expertise to software and quality assurance engineers in support of procedure and process development activities. Participate in the development of business and technical requirements documentation for data warehouses. Perform unit-tests for software system and application components for new and enhanced products. Author pre- and post-validation processes for production releases that contain data repository changes.

Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: designing, building, and supporting real-time data pipelines and analytical solutions using Informatica; building data structures, solutions and

products; and object-oriented analysis and design. Must have two (2) years of experience with: supporting ETL and production data operations (File processing and data distribution); writing SQL queries and interpreting data models; and writing automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests for data interfaces and data pipelines. Must have experience debugging, addressing production issues, and performing root cause analysis.
