Who are we looking for:
We seek passionate Senior Data Engineer to help work on Nike's robust AI and machine learning solutions for Bot Detection that have a direct impact on the business. As part of a broader team of AI/ML, Software and Data Engineers, you will be a pioneer in developing data engineering capabilities, expected to own data engineering pipelines for Bot Detection end-to-end - from conception to operationalization, demonstrating an understanding of the full software development lifecycle. As a result, you will be expected to provide technical vision and guidance to your teammates; therefore, strong communication skills are essential in this role.
What will you work on
If this is you, you'll be working with the AI and Machine Learning (AIML) team at Nike. With teammates in Portland, Boston, China, and Poland, you'll be joining a global organization working to develop scalable Data and ML Pipeline. This role will be a critical one supporting North American timezones and collaborators globally. You'll be designing and implementing scalable and secure ML & Data Products that bring Data Science applications live to have an immense business impact. You'll also contribute to core advanced analytics and machine learning platforms and tools to enable both prediction and optimization model development. Who will you work with:
In this role, you'll be working closely with the rest of our world-class and global team, along with Bot Mitigation Team, Enterprise Platforms and Solution Architecture. This role reports to Global Director of AI/ML Bot Detection.
What you bring:
- MS/BS in Computer Science, or related technical subject area or equivalent combination of revelant education, experience, and training.
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience in the field of Data and Software Engineering.
- Understanding of Machine learning / deep learning algorithms and working experience with all steps of ML Lifecycle is preferred.
- Expertise in relational Shell, Python, and SQL and Spark
- Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud platform tools.
- Experience working with Data warehousing tools, including DynamoDB, Hbase, SQL, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Graph Databases.
- Experience architecting data product in Streaming, Serverless and Microservices Architecture and platform.
- Experience working with Data platforms, including EMR, Data Bricks, SageMaker, Feature Store etc.
- Anticipate, identify and solve issues concerning data quality.
- Implement automated workflows and routines using workflow scheduling tools like Airflow and Kubeflow
- Experience working with distributed technology tools, including Spark, Presto, Scala, Python and Airflow.
- Proven ability to partner with others in solving complex problems by taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
- Solid skills building positive relationships across Product and Engineering.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and data solutions.
- Effective communication skills (with team members, the business, and in code)
Open to remote work, except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate.
