Senior Database Engineer - Remote

As a senior data engineer, you'll contribute to projects end to end, write code that fewer senior engineers can emulate, understand how we operate our systems, and help make sure our technology grows and doesn't become a big pile of tech debt.
Responsibilities:

• Analyze user requirements and translate them into database requirements and implement them in database code.
• Create and maintain SQL queries and routines. Write database triggers, PL/SQL, and packages according to the business requirements.
• Work with complex data models and object-relational database mapping, while producing complex reports.
• Assist the development team in the design, development, testing, tuning, and implementation of database applications.
• Optimize code for simplicity, reliability, manageability, quality, performance, scalability, reusability, performance, and security, through testing, code scanning, refactoring, and monitoring.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of In-depth knowledge and hands-on database development experience.
• Thorough knowledge of relational database concepts, PL/SQL Server and dimensional data warehouse models, data warehousing methodologies, and major database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
• Experience implementing monitoring processes to automate the detection and resolution of loading errors.
• Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills, strong customer focus, ability to juggle many tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong track record of on-time project delivery for large, cross-functional projects.
• Experience working in a continuous integration and deployment environment.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
