Senior DevOps Engineer

PerfectServe is building a collection of various applications that together allow us to offer several secure medical communications and scheduling SaaS offerings to various hospitals across the globe. We are looking for someone to lead a team managing all of our persistent and ephemeral data storage.

Anything that stores persistent or ephemeral data.

• Databases (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL)
• Search (OpenSearch)
• Caching (Redis)
• Messaging (RabbitMQ)
• Object based (S3)

• Coordinate with other Senior DevOps to ensure we are delivering the best possible solution to our customers
• Ensure a high-security posture and ensure platform stays compliant with varying accreditations (SOC2 / HITRUST) and various regional privacy acts  (HIPPA / GDPR / FOIPPA)
• Identify and implement high-availability solutions
• Develop tools and code to automate manual steps
• Define monitors and alerts in order to support platform SLIs / SLOs
• Participate in On-call duties
• Ongoing operational improvements

• Strong communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written
• 5+ years of experience in a professional operations role with preference given to those with prior database management experience
• 2+ years of casual or professional programming experience
• Proficiency with automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Proficiency with Python/bash
• A drive to learn new technologies
• Engineering for sleep
