Job Description

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP) to join our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing a robust, automated cloud platform that supports the rapid and sustainable adoption of edge cloud technologies across ASML, thereby facilitating the company's growth and fostering innovation in cloud solutions. This position is pivotal in maximizing the benefits of cloud technology while minimizing associated risks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance expertise in Google Distributed Cloud
  • Implement, configure, maintain, and support a distributed cloud network along with various other Google Cloud services
  • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications at scale on Google Distributed Cloud Connected
  • Apply a deep understanding of Google cloud design considerations and their implications on pricing
  • Manage networking elements including IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, Load Balancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN, and Hybrid Networks
  • Utilize container technology such as Docker and Kubernetes, and manage version control systems like GitHub
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Build Buddy, Jenkins, Bamboo, Buildkite
  • Employ monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace for operational insight
  • Configure and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Puppet, and Chef
  • Collaborate with customers to comprehend application needs and deliver customized Kubernetes solutions in conjunction with solution and application architects
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of Kubernetes clusters and applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues pertaining to Kubernetes clusters and network connectivity

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer focused on Google Distributed Cloud Connected or Google Cloud Network
  • Proficiency with Big Data tools on GCP such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataflow
  • Expertise in building networks for private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures
  • Skilled in a modern scripting language for automation of build tasks
  • Knowledgeable in infrastructure monitoring using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace
  • Experience in applying engineering and coding skills in an Agile environment
  • Proficient with tooling for automated deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code in support of Continuous Delivery/Deployment
  • Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to maximize automation and efficiency
  • Proven capabilities in coding, solution definition, project management/execution, change/risk management
  • High level of proficiency in English, both spoken and written, suitable for a global work environment
Nice to have
  • Certification as a Kubernetes Administrator
  • Experience working in large, international companies or with global service providers
