About the Job

At Redesign, our mission is to radically empower founders to build the greatest healthcare companies in the world. A critical component in their success is their ability to efficiently and effectively make use of the knowledge from experts that have come before them. As the Senior Director of Expert Knowledge on our Startup Solutions team, you'll be responsible for creating, shaping, and leading the strategic efforts for our knowledge content. You will be responsible not only for ensuring quality and effectiveness for each piece of individual content but also for designing an effective framework overall by developing a living, evolving system of knowledge content to help empower our founders to solve the critical challenges that they will face in their journey. To do this, you will coordinate the gathering of key research and insights both from within the organization as well as from external experts and guide the creation of our knowledge enablement resources.

The centralization of these efforts is a new initiative, and so you will be expected to build a team for this purpose and provide hands-on guidance and work to create and shape the content with them. This content will aim to provide meaningful, relevant, and timely self-service information for our healthcare companies in the form of how-to guides, playbooks, templates, best practices and more. We'll be looking to you for providing thought leadership and ensuring overall progress, quality and usage of this fundamental library.

What you’ll do:
  • Determine the content strategy and oversee the creation process for our Expert Knowledge Library.
  • Provide hands-on editorial guidance and overview for the content within the library.
  • Work across the organization to gather key insights and resources needed to create the most valuable content.
  • Build, develop and inspire the team to execute this new initiative.
  • Ensure the Expert Knowledge Library is easy to use and enables the achievement of desired business outcomes.
  • Ensure usability of the content by continually monitoring and refining it based on user needs.
  • Enforce quality standards and measure effectiveness of the content over time.
What you’ll need:
  • You hold 8+ years of experience in creating and editing content, such as reference guides, publications, playbooks, templates, videos, etc.
  • You have 5+ years of experience managing people specifically, writers or editors.
  • You have proven success in technically executing and strategically directing Knowledge and Learning material and overall frameworks which aim to solve critical business problems for companies, ideally in the start-up phase. 
What you’ll bring to the table:
  • You are skilled in guiding the development of content that drives insight in supporting business execution and strategy.
  • You excel at providing hands-on editorial support to content creators.
  • You are adept in conducting research and identifying core insights from a variety of sources and topics to convey effective content.
  • You are skilled in defining and monitoring quality metrics to manage processes that improve content over time.
  • You are skilled at taking initiatives from 0 to 1 and have demonstrated the ability to do so multiple times in different contexts.
  • You have working knowledge with Content Management Systems or Learning Management Systems and tools.

Additional Information

Full-time base salary of $171,000 plus a competitive equity & benefits package listed under the "Why work with us?" section.
