Job Summary:

In collaboration with the respective Commercial Finance Leads, Commercial Operations Leads and Business leaders, this position is responsible for developing global guiding principles and a sales plan design framework to support our multiple sales organizations in the development or refinement of sales incentive programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides sales incentive design subject matter expertise and a high level of internal consulting support to Human Resources and Commercial management on a variety of sales compensation issues including annual plan design, SPIFFs, or other incentive plan programs.
  • Develops metrics for measuring plan effectiveness, ensuring outputs in behaviors and financial results are aligned with stated business objectives and strategies.
  • Develops and maintains an annual global inventory of plans and design features. Using this inventory, evaluate and report to the Senior Leadership and the Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors any potential risks associated with DS sales incentive plans.
  • Supports or develops as needed an annual/quarterly review process to assess sales incentive programs and ensure alignment of plan performance with financial expectations
  • Research and benchmark market data for sales compensation programs to evaluate the competitiveness of sales compensation plans, pay mix, and incentive compensation targets.
  • Provides assistance as needed in developing quantitative models to simulate plan and quota performance under various scenarios.
  • Supports the Total Rewards team in the management and administration of the Annual Incentive Plan
  • In partnership with the VP Global FP&A, reviews and approves all local bonus plan payouts ensuring alignment with accrued financial liability as well as alignment with global financial results
  • Develops and maintains a global inventory of all local bonus plans ensuring alignment with plan design guidance and framework


Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. /B.S.) from an accredited university


Years and Type of Experience:
  • Ten to fifteen years of overall compensation experience with more than five years specifically in sales compensation or compensation consulting firm specializing in sales compensation; a combination of consulting and corporate experience is highly desirable.
