About the job:

As a senior director of our Platform Hive you’ll be responsible for the core infrastructure of our entire product, developer productivity, system reliability, and building common tooling frameworks. You will help our product engineering teams deliver product features and initiatives with predictability, scalability, velocity, and quality. Every engineering team and beyond at Upside will be dependent on the services and infrastructure capabilities provided by your Hive.

What you’ll do:

As a Senior Director of Engineering at Upside you’ll be responsible for driving the vision of one of our three engineering tribes. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering leaders to craft that vision and implement it. You will help build the team in partnership with recruiting and level up the managers who support you. You will work with technical leaders to improve our systems via people, process, as well as technology.

What you need:

• Experience building teams and aligning a variety of stakeholders to a vision
• Experience managing managers
• Experience in converting the tactical to the strategic
• A servant leader mentality with empathy, transparency, candor, and accountability

• Location: This is a fully-remote role that may sit anywhere in the United States. You're welcome to work from our DC, Austin, Chicago or New York office if you're in-region!
