At Twilio, we support diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. About the job

At Twilio, we believe in utilizing our business as a force for good. We are committed to tackling our world’s most critical social issues through our product, capital and people. One of the ways we do that is by selling our products to nonprofits and social impact organizations at a discounted rate and reinvesting a portion of that profit back into growing social impact.

As the Sr. Director of Marketing, Social Impact, you will lead demand generation/growth marketing, brand marketing, and internal marketing for our social impact division. You’ll build the vision and strategy, as well as lead the marketing team that elevates and engages people in Twilio’s social impact efforts. You will report to the Chief Social Impact Officer.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead full-funnel marketing strategy and execution to drive growth of revenue and social impact through our nonprofit customers and channel partners.

  • Lead brand narrative and strategy to make Twilio synonymous with social impact. Increase awareness of Twilio as a leader in social impact.

  • Lead internal marketing to help employees feel proud of and a part of the social impact Twilio creates in the world. Increase employee participation in social impact activities in partnership with the employee impact team.

  • As part of Twilio’s social impact leadership team, drive vision and strategy for how Twilio will leave the world better than we found it.

  • Work cross-functionally with teams inside Twilio (Product, Sales, Marketing, Alliances) and influence decision making with senior-level audiences.

Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing

  • Experience in B2B demand and lead generation, growth marketing, and account based marketing. Track record of partnering with Sales to build pipeline and meet Sales targets.

  • Team leadership, coaching, hiring, and development

  • Track record of partnering with sales development and optimizing cross-team processes to improve conversion rates and lead quality

  • Experience owning and optimizing a marketing budget with clear ROI
