As a Senior Director of Technical Accounting, you will be responsible for preparing position papers on various complex accounting topics that arise, implementing appropriate close procedures related to these complex accounting topics, and providing technical accounting advice for Redesign Operating Companies (OpCo’s) financial close. Your goal is to refine and execute Redesign’s documentation on technical accounting matters and policies to ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting standards.
In this role, you will report to Redesign’s Head of Accounting. You will partner with our internal accounting team, valuation team, and our external accounting partners to establish our accounting positions, create schedules and assist with automation projects, and provide guidance on OpCo’s technical accounting matters.
What you will do:- Act as a subject matter expert and work with the finance department to identify, resolve, and document complex accounting issues and transactions
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of accounting standard updates. This includes drafting and maintaining relevant accounting policies
- Manage and review third party valuation work on convertible debt arrangements, 409A reports and other areas that require valuations
- Work cross functionally with Valuation, Legal, and the OpCo accounting team to build appropriate documentation system for future audits
- Provide thought leadership and guidance to any OpCo’s technical accounting matters
- Advise on refining OpCo GAAP accounting policiesÂ
- You have 8+ years of combined experience in technical accounting & audit roles handling consolidated financials, audit and complex technical accounting
- You have experience in Big 4 or national accounting firm experience
- You have experience working with valuation
- You are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- You have a deep understanding of GAAP accounting and SEC rules and regulations
- You have strong audit knowledge and deep understanding of various accounting topic areas (Including but not limited to ASC810, ASC320, ASC321, ASC323, ASC718, ASC946, ASC606, ASC505, ASC480, ASC440, ASC470, ASC815, ASC842, ASC420, ASC350, ASC460)
- You have experience building policies and processes to ensure full compliance with US GAAP standards
- You have experience working with valuation experts and general understanding of various valuation methods Â
- Manages Complexity. You ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations and uncover root causes to difficult issues. Through acquiring data from multiple and diverse sources, you are able to make sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to solve problems.

Full-time base salary range of $204,000 plus a competitive equity & benefits package listed under the "Why work with us?" section.Â
