At Group Black, our Revenue Operations team operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The team is responsible for accelerating Group Black’s transformation to a high-growth business. The members of our Revenue Operations team are solutions-oriented, possess a deep understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem and are focused on driving performance improvements across our ad stack, tools and processes.
The Role:
Reporting to our Senior Vice President, Revenue Operations, the Senior Director, Revenue Operations (SDRO) is a proven leader. The SDRO collaborates with cross-functional teams (sales planning, analytics, business development), and fosters strong relationships with external partners and platforms. The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of technologies and business practices related to Revenue Operations processes and systems (CRM, OMS, ad serving, programmatic monetization, ad tech, reporting, and forecasting). As well as a strong aptitude with Excel and business models.
Your Day-To-Day:
- Work with SVP, Revenue Operations on scaling the team to meet business objectives.
- Help define team roadmap and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
- Provide direction and training to our teams to maintain best-practice implementation of our workflows.
- Implement, document, and enforce processes and tools.
- Foster relationships with key platform partners and build new relationships with key tech vendors who can add value to our stack.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and partner closely with our sales planning team to drive business alignment across the organization.
- Work with SVP, Revenue Operations on efforts focused on long-term revenue and yield growth.
Key Projects:
- In collaboration with SVP; design, implement and oversee end-to-end sales system from RFP to cash.
- Operationalize and aid our growing linear advertising business.
- Automate inventory management tools across various supply partners.
- Develop and oversee sales tools and collateral.
What you bring to the team:
- 7-10 years in revenue operations, yield or programmatic at a publisher.
- Thorough knowledge of digital advertising standards, practices, and technologies (planning, inventory management, targeting, ad serving, reporting, et al).
- Experience with linear advertising processes and technologies.
- Comfort engaging with senior-level executives on strategic initiatives with the guidance of the SVP and other cross-functional team members.
- Experience in a growing startup environment (a plus).
- Aptitude to work independently and deliver measurable results in a timely manner.
- Ability to address problems in a collaborative environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable presenter.
- Successfully work under pressure with attention to detail.
- Aptitude to quickly learn new tools and techniques.
- Belief in the mission, vision, and objectives of the organization.
At Group Black we believe in leveraging our hiring process as a way to support transparency. The annual base salary band for this opportunity is $170,000-195,000. Our job offer compensation philosophy, which impacts actual compensation, is based on a number of important factors including, but not limited to, internal and market equity, financial budgets, and the individual’s skills, qualifications, experience and education. Published annual base salary bands do not include individual variable compensation opportunities, such as annual merit increases, bonus eligibility, commission, or equity incentives.
