As the Senior Director of Sales and Partner Enablement, you will be responsible for three core enablement functions. Management of the LMS and events, courseware and exam development and the technical certification process including management of our Authorized Training Partners (ATPs). The cybersecurity landscape is constantly evolving. SonicWall University along with our Technical Certification program helps our partners stay current with SonicWall product offerings.  Our curriculum features positioning and deployment scenarios, cybersecurity news, and other key resources that keep our partner community and internal team informed, trained, and current.

Key position responsibilities

  • Driving sales through the sales enablement / training experience.
  • Meeting market specific training needs of the specific regional sales organizations. Addressing the unique training requirements of regional sales organizations in alignment with market-specific needs
  • Assist in developing and maintain global enablement relevance by soliciting feedback, implementing changes and the continuous evolution of the adult learning cycle.
  • Ensure proper presentation of SonicWall University courseware within the LMS, monitor and update courseware performance metrics (utilization, exam completion rates, course feedback, aged courseware), and update banners, collateral, course tagging, and alignment to enhance the overall look and feel of the LMS experience.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales engineering teams to create training modules and courseware accordance with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and execute the overall certification strategy, roadmap, timelines, and other processes to ensure the adoption and growth of the certification portfolio.
  • SecureFirst compliance tracking, reporting and governance.
  • Promote the adoption of certifications and boost the volume of training and certification activities.
  • Analyze metrics to drive process improvements.
  • Emphasize the timely development, management, and delivery of programs.
  • Design and develop role-based training paths for SonicWall’s and partners’ engineers internally and externally.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise, ensuring consistency of the training programs.
  • Recognize and address technical, operational, and organizational challenges.
  • Establish objectives for the team, encompassing both team and project levels.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and practical understanding of networking technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in networking and network security technologies, including Firewalls, VPN, Email Security, cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience in hiring, managing, inspiring, and developing technically diverse team.
  • Solid project management skills, including planning, managing, keeping multiple projects on track, working with cross-functional stakeholders, and navigating ambiguity to deliver results.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), CloudShare, SFDC, Articulate360, Storyline and Camtasia preferred.
  • Comprehension of adult learning principles and the capability to implement solutions that facilitate effective learning.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, manage, complete tasks, and work independently.
  • Ability and flexibility to work with globally dispersed teams.
  • 6+ years leading a highly effective L&D program.
  • 6+ years of progressive people management.
  • Exposure to instructional design, change management, knowledge content management, and go-to-market launch training.
  • Proficient in assembling teams to execute defined processes.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, lean startup like tech environment.
  • Experience effectively influencing and communicating cross-functionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Operational mindset to quantitatively plan work, craft goals, and report impact.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and autonomously, pulling in consultants and stakeholders for guidance and sign off.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity.

Education and Experience:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience and 8+ years of management experience preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • LMS and ATP management experience preferred.
