About The RoleCockroach Labs is looking for a Senior Director, Sales - APAC to lead our Sales Organization across multiple markets and regions. This role will work cross functionally to improve sales productivity and outcomes by instituting best practices across the entire sales revenue funnel.
This leader will own the sales revenue growth targets and is a key member of the CRO team. The Senior Director, Sales - APAC will directly manage the strategic, enterprise and mid-market Account Executives leaders who are goaled on winning net new logos and expanding our footprint within existing strategic customers through cross and upselling efforts and the Sales Development team that feeds them leads. This strategic leader will drive our sales culture built on process, collaboration, and accountability. The Senior Director, Sales -APAC reports to the President and Chief Revenue Officer.
You Will- Provide strategic and operational direction to the Sales organization to maximize sales revenues and meet revenue objectives
- Scale and lead a fast-paced sales organization focused on rapid growth
- Develop sales leadership
- Work with our customer facing teams to retain and grow our largest accounts
- Evolve a go-to-market strategy with prospects and customers to expand the company's footprint
- Provide accurate and scalable forecasting across both short and long sales cycles
- Evangelize a value-based sales methodology in order to effectively communicate how we add value
- Partner with other internal cross-functional teams (e.g. Customer Success, Product and Engineering) to improve product and service offerings
- Promote an engaged, energetic, and inclusive environment that encourages high productivity while maintaining a positive work experience
- Create accountability within the team by driving to key metrics and performance expectations for their team
In your first 30 days, you will immerse yourself in our market, product, and sales processes. You will also begin to build relationships with various individuals and teams at Cockroach Labs to build trust and establish connections.
After 3 months, you will be fully integrated into the team. You will be an active partner to our GTM leaders and will have begun initiating new projects and processes around APAC Sales performance, enablement, and operations.
You Have- 10+ years of experience in Executive Sales leadership at a SaaS company
- 5+ years experience as a high-growth SaaS leader building and leading high-performing sales organizations
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness and capability to problem solve and action change
- Proven experience in scaling and growing a Sales organization within a growing SaaS company
- Deep understanding of land and expand subscription/ recurring revenue models and proven success of growth and revenue attainment within that business model
- Extensive sales leadership development experience in software sales, leading at a international level with proven year after year team quota achievement
- Prior experience leading a sales organization selling SaaS into enterprise and mid-market companies.
- Self-starter, independent, resourceful driven to action and results
- Outstanding collaboration and communication skills; verbal and written
- Ability to perform and thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment; able to think strategically and execute tactically
- Proven success leading teams in structuring complex deals with multiple variables; must have strong analytical skills
- Strong customer facing capabilities to influence, negotiate and build executive level relationships
- Experience using sales technology such as SFDC, Clari, Chorus.io, Highspot, etc; an understanding of sales methodologies such as MEDDICC and Challenger Sales.
- Previous experience in a sales role is a plusStrong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Ability to travel as needed
Reporting to Jason Forget, President and Chief Revenue Officer
Jason is responsible for Cockroach Labs revenue growth while building and scaling all customer facing functions. He is a seasoned go-to-market leader with a track record of building global go-to-market teams and driving explosive revenue growth. Over the past twenty years he has served in several global sales, marketing, customer success, support, and operations executive leadership positions in private and public technology companies.
