Job Summary
The Senior Engineer, Product Engineering (RMA) will be responsible for managing all engineering aspects of customer RMA FA process and driving a complete understanding of RMA FA root cause, yield effects, drivers, and trends in order to monitor the quality and reliability for a line of RF, Power and Sensor IC products, and ensuring high quality and high yielding product at IC and module level.
This position reports to the Product Quality Engineering department within the Operations Quality and Reliability Engineering organization. The Senior Engineer, Product Engineering (RMA) is primarily responsible for coordinating activities in support of the analysis of customer returns (RMA), yield enhancement, and overall quality of pSemi final products. This position will interface with Product, Test, Design, Manufacturing, Foundry, FA, Reliability, and counterparts at parent company Murata in Japan. This position will also have some direct interfacing with customers and downstream manufacturing sites, as needed.
The assigned tasks will be diverse in scope and will require analysis of situations, data, and intangibles typically found in an IC Product Engineering function. The candidate will need to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. The candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a sense of commitment and be flexible to project needs. The candidate must be a team player and possess a sense of urgency to meet product quality requirements on schedule.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
- Customer Return Support (RMA) : Ensure high quality and high yielding material at downstream manufacturing stages. Manage all engineering aspects of the customer RMA/FA process and work with PE, FA, QA and CQE teams to define messaging and report results to executives and customers. Coordinate response plans with customer and internal teams to drive Corrective Actions for any excursions.
- Product Sustaining: Apply data analysis skills to improve product yields during production. Able to operate independently.
- Failure Analysis: Drive and perform failure analysis studies on customer returns or to study failure modes that impact yield. Work with FA team to provide EFA guidance and define PFA objectives, perform fault isolation, and help interpret results.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Product Engineering, Device Engineering, or Design Engineering, depending on level of education and experience
- Experience with any of the following products: LNA, Switch, PA's, Digital Attenuators, Phase Shifters, DC-DC converters, PMIC
- Experience with software such as JIRA, Exensio, JMP, Cadence (layout and schematic review)
- Experience working with large datasets and applying statistical methods to draw conclusions
- Experience in semiconductor failure analysis tools and techniques
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule
- Cross-functional team leadership
- Ability to clearly assess and manage risk
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding or familiarity of RF SOI CMOS Technology
- Basic knowledge of semiconductor device fabrication, RF testing and measurement is a plus

- BSEE required
