Your impact:Data is the foundation that powers all of Correlation One. Senior Manager of Engineering, Data, will shape the vision of this foundational layer on which all our applications are built. This role will have a profound impact on all the technology developed here at Correlation One for many years to come.
This is a critical role in overseeing and guiding our data initiatives, driving the development and optimization of our data infrastructure, and leveraging data to empower decision making across the organization. You will lead a talented team of data engineers, scientists, and analysts. In addition, you will collaborate closely with other cross-functional teams, such as product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Our Engineering Managers create a culture of craftsmanship and engineering excellence in their teams. They own the team-level goals and are responsible for delivering these goals while working closely with Operations, Product Management and other Engineering teams. They take a long-term approach towards building the technology their team owns and take on short-term debt judiciously to deliver on the roadmap needs. They have a deep understanding of operational excellence and leverage it as a tool to promote an outstanding experience on their team.
Our Engineering Managers mentor and coach their teams to bring out the best in them. They have a high bar for hiring and promoting people. They are excellent communicators who present their team’s work routinely and succinctly to Product and Engineering leadership. They are skilled negotiators who collaborate closely with their cross-functional peers across the company to ensure that the customer needs, the timelines and standards of engineering excellence are met by all of their deliverables.
A day in the life:- Drive the development and execution of a comprehensive data strategy, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives
- Drive the multi-year vision for technology for the data team
- Present the vision / roadmap to Product and Engineering leadership
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Operations and Engineering teams to develop a quarterly roadmap for all your teams
- Drive Engineering and Operational Excellence in your team
- Build a high-performance and delivery-oriented culture while keeping a high bar for technical deliverables in your team
- Participate deeply and own all the architectural decisions for your team
- Hire, manage and grow individual contributors from entry-level to staff
- Proven experience (5+ years) in managing and leading data teams in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a startup or high-growth company
- Strong expertise in data infrastructure, cloud platforms (preferably GCP), and data management technologies
- Proficiency in building and optimizing data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Experience in machine learning, including familiarity with algorithms, model training, and evaluation techniques
- Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices
- Experience in working with data scientists, data analysts, and dashboard analysts to deliver actionable insights
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Deliver solid results under tight deadlines and under-specified requirements

The compensation range for this position is specific to location and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. These factors include (but are not limited to) location, experience, education and skill sets. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,000-160,000. The range only reflects the base salary and does not reflect bonus, equity or benefits.
