Job Description

Turn 10 Studios, the creators of Forza Motorsport franchise is seeking a Senior Environment Artist that will be creating stunning photo-realistic environments, you will partner with peers to apply your artistic and technical abilities through research and benchmarking to meet the visual goals of the project to create environments that delight our players.

Responsibilities:

  • Create photo-realistic hard surface content for environments.
  • Collaborate and work closely with Art Directors and Art Leads to deliver established visual bar.
  • Research and contribute to processes, workflows and production pipeline improvements.
  • Help mentor and guide other team members.
  • Document processes for creation of environment art.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Review and provide feedback on outsourced content.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve production challenges through collaboration and creative solutions.
  • Research and stay up to date on new software, industry trends and processes.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Design, Fine Arts, Human Computer Interaction, Visual Communications or related art field AND 4+ years experience in art design or a related art field working on computer games or entertainment

    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience building AAA quality game environments and shipping multiple AAA video game titles on consoles and PC (Full-Cycle).
  • Experience with software such as: 3DSMAX, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Zbrush, Photoshop.
  • Portfolio demonstrating examples of photo-real environments and assets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of natural scenery and composition.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Houdini.
  • Foundation in traditional arts.

Art IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
