POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for an engaging senior event coordinator to set up and manage trade shows and other industry specific corporate events. In this role, you will help plan logistics for trade events, liaise with vendors and attendees, and oversee the trade show operations. You will also work collaboratively on marketing campaigns and strategies for exhibitions.

 

JOB SCOPE

  • Collaborating with the marketing team and organizers to fulfill the event requirements
  • Researching and presenting concepts and ideas to the organizers and sponsors for feedback
  • Preparing, presenting, and managing budgets and negotiating contracts in alignment with budget and contracting requirements
  • Securing the venue, planning the layout, and liaising with vendors to determine booth requirements
  • Managing the registration of participating staffs
  • Arranging travel and accommodation logistics, administration, and bookings
  • Assist in promoting the show through marketing channels such as social media, emailers, and advertising campaigns
  • Coordinating the logistical requirements such as security, equipment rentals, and catering services
  • Running the floor to ensure the event operates smoothly
  • Ensuring that all health and safety standards are adhered to during the event
  • Evaluate event’s success and submit reports

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management or Public Relations, preferred
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of managing small to large scale trade shows for small to medium sized organizations
  • Demonstrate outstanding time management and organizational skills with a consistent track record of success in planning, managing, and executing multiple events simultaneously
  • Highly organized, analytical, excels at managing and influencing broad stakeholder groups, and adept at synthesizing a variety of inputs into a successful event
  • Experienced in managing budgets
  • Experienced in vendor management
  • Experience in managing virtual, in person and/or hybrid events
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic and proactive thinker
