The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business located at Lake Forest, IL. The successful person will have experience working with business-support positions in Multinational environments. Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (formerly Alere) is part of Abbott's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.

What You'll Work On

• Liaise between IDEM BU Finance teams, Business unit senior leadership, and Division Finance teams.
• Analyze and forecast financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions.
• Support, consolidate, and summarize the IDEM BU global sales forecasts; review and investigate variances between actual results and benchmarks; review and analyze forecasts against benchmarks (I.e., prior year, plan, and prior forecast)
• Prepare management reporting; analysis of Sales and P&L trends and comparisons vs. benchmarks (comparisons to Plan, LBE, and Prior Year); identify key drivers as part of variance analytics.
• Work with management teams in Finance and HQ functions to evaluate strategic programs and priorities.
• Identify opportunities and highlight risks associated with the achievement of targets and metrics.
• Assist in integrating into existing Abbott systems, identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Collaborate with Division Finance, and Local/Entity Finance teams on Monthly and Quarterly Financial Planning and Reporting requirements.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses based on needs of Finance leadership and Division management, evaluate overall Business unit performance and items such as new initiatives and cost savings opportunities. Assist with preparation of management PowerPoint presentations.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree (± 13 years) is required, or higher education is preferred.
• 3 or more years of experience in a similar area in Finance or Accounting is required.
• Willing to work on a hybrid schedule in the office in Lake Forest, IL.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a Large Organization, using multiple systems.
