Job Description

JM&A Group is looking for a skilled Senior Financial Analyst with strong modeling experience to join our FP&A Team.

This position provides the opportunity to work alongside a strong team of finance professionals. The Senior Financial Analyst must have a profound understanding of financial modeling techniques, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex financial data. As a Senior Financial Analyst with modeling expertise, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance needs of our Leadership, internal departments, and our sales teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning efforts
  • Provide primary support for the new deal acquisition and financial modeling process
  • Play an integral role in the transformation of current state financial modeling from Excel to Power BI & Power Automate
  • Be a subject matter expert on financial models and consult stakeholders on the model outputs
  • Continuously improve financial models and reporting solutions by studying proposed changes in methods and materials
  • Combine and analyze data from various databases and sources to support financial modeling
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and key financial metrics
  • Increase productivity by coordinating information requirements and automating processes
  • Performing ad-hoc business and financial analysis utilizing various data sources and reports and working with various operational areas to help senior management with decision-making and strategy, which may require the analysis and summarization of large amounts of data
  • Adds value to both the operational and strategic decision-making process
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures, and provide financial insights
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5+ years of experience in Profit Modeling, Business & Data Analytics, Financial Planning & Analysis and/or Financial Reporting, or Strategy
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling tools, Excel, and data analysis techniques
  • Must possess high-level problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong project management skills, including organization, planning, and execution
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, overcome challenges, and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity
  • Experience in identifying, recommending, and implementing process enhancements
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is required
  • Proficiency in MS Word, and NetSuite preferred
  • Experience with VBA, Macros, and Index Match
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power BI, Salesforce.com desired
  • SQL, Essbase, SAS, Spark, Scala, and Python knowledge is a plus
