This role is a high-impact, mission-driven opportunity for a finance and business analytics professional who thrives at the intersection of financial strategy, process optimization, and enterprise transformation. You will play a key role in improving budgeting, forecasting, and cost modeling processes while supporting large-scale financial planning initiatives across complex organizational environments. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate risks, streamline financial operations, and enhance decision-making frameworks. The position requires strong analytical capability combined with a consulting mindset to identify inefficiencies and design scalable solutions. You will also contribute to the integration of financial tools and reporting systems that support long-term planning and compliance. This is a fully remote role offering meaningful work with significant visibility and impact.
Accountabilities:
- Participate in financial and business planning sessions, assessing change impacts, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Serve as a primary subject matter expert supporting stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, and financial operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and support enterprise financial planning initiatives
- Analyze and document current-state financial processes, identifying inefficiencies, redundancies, and risk areas
- Develop recommendations to improve indirect rate structures, cost modeling, and compliance with financial regulations
- Support integration and optimization of financial planning, reporting, and dashboarding tools
- Facilitate communication and change management efforts related to financial process updates and system implementations
- Implement structured financial management processes to support monthly execution, reporting, and cost impact analysis
- Provide ongoing assessment of financial process improvements and ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience (additional experience may substitute for education)
- 8–10+ years of experience in financial analysis, business optimization, or related financial planning roles
- Strong understanding of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and government contracting frameworks
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, indirect rate development, and financial modeling
- Proficiency in financial and reporting tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- Familiarity with platforms such as Costpoint, Cognos, or Apptio is highly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively across matrixed and cross-functional organizations
- Experience working with contract types such as IDIQ, GWAC, BPA, FFP, T&M, or CPFF
- Ability to manage complex financial processes in a structured, compliance-driven environment
- Competitive salary range between $75,730 and $84,500, based on experience and qualifications
