Senior Firmware Engineer, C++

As a senior network systems software engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing features that improve the reliability, simplicity, and performance of our products. You will have the opportunity to work across our stack developing software that spans from device drivers and routing code all the way up to our distributed, cloud-hosted backend. For this role, you can choose from a number of work locations: San Francisco, San Jose, or Kitchener / Waterloo, Ontario.

• Can develop and implement core network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ARP)
• Have 4+ years of demonstrated ability writing professional production code
• Experience developing and solving in a Linux environment
• Are proficient in C and C++
• Experience writing concurrent programs
• Understanding of OS fundamentals and experience working in both kernel space and user space
• Have effective communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate with others
• Are self-motivated and willing to learn new things and take on new challenges

• Experience building cloud-based infrastructure and services (e.g. web applications)
• Scripting skills in Ruby or Python
• Understanding of network security fundamentals
• Experience working with version control, specifically Git
• 802.11 protocols and WiFi technologies
• Background knowledge in RF, Digital, and wireless communication
