Coupa Software is seeking a motivated and results-driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team. This role will support various functions across the company, with a particular focus on partnering with business leaders to enhance operational efficiency and profitability in a SaaS environment. The Senior Financial Analyst will play an essential role in supporting financial strategy for customer-facing and customer support teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

What you will do:

  • Strategic Partnership:
  • Act as a financial advisor to business leaders within sales, services, renewals, and customer support teams, providing strategic insights and financial guidance
  • Develop and maintain relationships with operational leaders to understand their business needs and challenges
  • Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Lead financial planning and analysis for customer-facing and customer support teams, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Ensure accuracy and alignment of financial plans with the company’s strategic objectives for these specific areas of responsibility
  • Business Performance Improvement:
  • Collaborate with sales, services, renewals, and customer support teams to identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and process improvements, focusing on SaaS metrics such as ARR, churn rate, and LTV
  • Develop and implement performance metrics and dashboards to monitor key business drivers and track progress against strategic initiatives
  • Operational Leadership:
  • Drive cross-functional projects aimed at improving financial and operational processes, leveraging best practices and innovative solutions specific to the SaaS industry
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and strategic relevance
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities within the customer-facing and customer support teams and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, maintaining a robust control environment

What you will bring to Coupa:

  • 6-8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a track record of partnering with business leaders to drive performance, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among senior leadership
  • Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and performance management tools (Excel and Anaplan preferred)
  • Enterprise SaaS experience is highly preferred
  • A professional qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred; CFA or equivalent qualification is a plus
