Job Summary

Develop and implement UI/UX design on the website using high standard tech stack.  This position will work very closely with the creative and back-end team providing ideas of interactive functionalities to improve user experience and achievement of goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Work directly with the Sr Web Designer and Sr Manager of Web Development making decisions on the current challenges.
• Take full ownership of the front-end portion of the website raising the quality level and improving user experience.
• Rewrite legacy code to Twig, HTML5, Tailwind CSS, and VueJS.
• Develop new designs from scratch using the new tech stack adopted
• Fix issues and troubleshoot requests from multiple different teams
• Interact with a wide range of people participating in calls and responding to emails or tickets 

Requirements

• 3+ years of proved experience
• Experience with UX best practices
• Strong skills with template engines (Twig preferable)
• Solid JavaScript (ES6) skills. Experienced with JS performance optimization and DOM manipulation.
• Front-end development skills with HTML5, Tailwind CSS, and VueJS.
• Experience with module bundling. (Webpack preferable)

Desirable Skills but not Required

• Accessibility compliance – WCAG 2.0 AA
• Data privacy compliance – GDPR, PIPEDA, APA, CCPA
• CI/CD automation
• Gitflow workflow
