This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Fund Accountant in United States.
This role is a key contributor to the fund accounting and post-trade operations of a high-performing financial organization. You will lead accounting processes across multiple asset classes and geographies, ensuring accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. Working closely with operations, technical teams, and external service providers, you will help drive process improvements and automation initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to mentor junior team members while directly influencing operational efficiency and supporting the scaling of infrastructure. Accountabilities:
- Lead and maintain accuracy in financial reporting, including monthly and annual statements, tax compliance, and treasury management
- Oversee daily and monthly reconciliations between internal records, brokers, counterparties, banks, and fund administrators
- Serve as a primary contact for service providers, ensuring adherence to internal policies and controls
- Maintain internal accounting systems and produce daily and monthly trading P&L, AUM reports, and confirm settlement activities
- Mentor and support junior fund accountants to foster professional development
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement automation initiatives across fund accounting functions
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams on growth projects and infrastructure scaling
- 5+ years of experience in hedge fund accounting, public accounting for asset management, or fund administration
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and its application to investment management funds
- Experience with enterprise-level accounting software (e.g., VPM, Geneva, Arcesium)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with process automation
- Exposure to or interest in Python or SQL is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Competitive base salary range of $110,000–$125,000
