Role: GL Accountant
Primary Responsibilities

• Record and process all non-AP and payroll cash journal entries daily and as required by the monthly close schedule.
• Prepare monthly/daily journal entries with supporting schedules for all domestic and foreign cash accounts.
• Prepare all bank reconciliations and account analysis for bank accounts with variances no later than 5 days of close.
• Communicate with various departments on cash receipt applications or other information required for recording cash, as necessary.
• Reconcile and correct inter-company out of balances relating to cash accounting group entries.
• Assist with audit requests, new hire training, and special projects assigned to support direct supervisor and manager.
• Monitor and assist cash management and forecasting
• Assist in local and corporate internal and external audit efforts by assembling working papers.
• Periodically support and cross-train with other team members.
• Prepare financial reports as needed for statutory, banking, and other purposes
• Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance with a strong academic record
• 2 to 5 years combined experience in auditing, financial accounting and reporting capacity within a Big Four environment as well as large or small company with a more operational role in finance or accounting.
• Cash Accounting and bank reconciliations experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting with analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience at a growing start-up
• Willingness to work consistent overtime, especially during close.
• Applicant should be detail-oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy, and work well as a team
• Streamlining existing processes and/or developing new accounting procedures
• CPA is preferred, but not a requirement.
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite is preferred, but not a requirement.
