Senior Golang Developer

This is a contract position for those based in Brazil - the initial contract is until the end of 2024 with the potential to be extended.

Nearform a global tech consultancy that specializes in building & designing digital products for enterprises is actively hiring for a Senior Engineer who specializes in Go. You will join an existing team that needs additional support building state-of-the-art services for a leading commerce company. We’re looking for a person dedicated to shipping quality code that is performant and reliable.

What do we expect from a Senior Engineer?

As a Senior Engineer at NearForm you will play an important role in the development process. Our ideal candidate will be proactive and a good communicator who wants to build things right the first time.  We are looking for a Senior Engineer who can help our existing team within an enterprise client deliver quality work on time. You will be responsible for developing and iterating on a complex variety of shared tools used across multiple teams at scale.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in building and improving Golang HTTP services with libraries like Gin sqlx and testify

• Experience with complex PostgreSQL query creation and performance optimization

• Experience integrating with third-party APIs & two-way syncing

• Experience with Event sourcing (with CQRS) using downstream event handlers to build projections or queries

• Experience with AWS EKS (Kubernetes) DynamoDB Lambda Kinesis SQS

• Production experience with Terraform configuration and CircleCI build pipelines

Essential Skills

• 7+ years of experience in professional software engineering

• Expert understanding of data architecture and design principles

• Familiarity with Golang and best practices for reliability
