About the job:
Upsideās quickly growing and looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our team and support our technical departments. The ideal candidate will contribute at both hands-on and strategic levels with organizational design, talent management, development & succession planning, change management, and other organizational programs cultivating an amazing, innovative and respectful culture. This individual will bring creative and effective ideas and solutions forward.

What youāll do:
- Lead and support HR and business initiatives for assigned leaders and business groups
- Drive the HR vision and execution of people strategies to deliver positive results
- Serve as a strategic partner with business leaders and managers to retain, develop, and motivate people
- Review and analyze data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and engagement
- Serve as a link between management and employees and provide HR support and coaching to all levels of the organization
- Partner with managers to build leadership capabilities, identify high potential employees, and develop succession plans
- Promote positive employee relationships through communication and interpretation of HR policies
- Proactively assess and execute talent management strategies to support individual and team growth and development
- Manage the Performance Review process for assigned business groups
- Manage employee relations issues
- Partner with colleagues across the entire People & Workplace Department to deploy strategies
- Actively contribute to the development of a respectful and safe environment within Upside
- Participate as an integral member of the extended People &Ā Workplace community
What you need:
- Bachelorās degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related, or equivalent education
- 7+ years of experience as a HRBP at a fast-growing company, preferably in tech
- Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and reporting requirements
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, āget it doneā environment
- A high level or organization and the ability to prioritize independently and self-driven to meet deadlines
- Comfort with ambiguity, asking questions, chasing down answers, and operating with minimal guidance to move work forward
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, from C-Suite to entry-level
- Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels ā a hands-on team player
- Outstanding attention to detail from start to finish
- Good judgment, versatility, flexibility, and a strong work ethic
- Open to travel to our DC headquarters, as required throughout the quarter.

- Location: This role may sit anywhere in the United States, though you're welcome to work from our DC, Austin, or Chicago office if you're in-region!
