Your future position

Kpler is looking for an experienced dry bulk market analyst to join our Insight team. You'll be playing a pivotal role in the development of the dry bulk Insight product, as we expand our coverage of dry commodity markets, in particular coal, iron ore, and steel. This is a cross-commodity role where you will be required to take the initiative in directing your own research and be confident in presenting your findings to a wide and varied audience.

Your mission is to:

• Work closely with the rest of the dry bulk Insight team and dry bulk market data analysts to support the development and expansion of our dry bulk commodity coverage.
• Utilise Kpler and external data sources to produce market-driven and independent analyses of current and projected trends within dry bulk.
• Communicate this analysis through a variety of channels, including regular written reports, presentations, webinars, and client meetings.
• Use your market knowledge and experience to identify potential areas of future growth and expansion for our research.
• Work with Kpler engineers and product owners to enhance dry bulk market data and tools.
• Aid sales and customer success teams by articulating the value of Kpler research to clients, prospects, and other external parties.

It will be a match if you are or have:

• At least 5 years’ experience analysing dry bulk markets.
• A good understanding of global commodity trade flows, pricing, key commercial players and fundamental supply and demand drivers for dry commodity markets.
• Experience in analysing coal, iron ore and steel markets is strongly desired. Understanding of fertiliser, grains, oilseeds, and dry freight markets is an advantage.
• You are skilled at carrying out complex analyses across multiple datasets using appropriate tools and have some experience in forecasting commodity flows and prices.
• A strong track record of producing insightful written analysis and experience in presenting your findings to varied audiences.
• Fluent in English and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work and communicate in an international cross-cultural environment.
• High competency in using Excel.
