We currently have multiple teams hiring Senior iOS Software Engineers, including: 

Locations Team

The Location team, as a part of the Guest & Host organization, aims to provide travelers with all the location information they need to determine where to go, where to stay, and what to do.  We help travelers better understand their destination and areas that are best suited for their needs and interests.  The team is responsible for building reliable, delightful, and differentiated location context and tools for guests on all maps, the location section on product detail pages, host guidebooks (which also acts as our primary lever to collect unique local host content for use in surfaces like maps), and city guides.

Users & Quality Client Team

The Users & Quality Client team at Airbnb is responsible for building and maintaining all Users-related flows on the Airbnb platform, from critical capabilities such as authentication to product flows such as user profile, information, and settings across the app. We also build tools and components for improving the quality and standards of listings and stays at Airbnb: creating review flows and standards flow with a mission of encouraging better experiences for both guests and hosts. The team is highly collaborative with its partners in design, product, data science, legal, and marketing to deliver features and experiences used by millions of people. We work closely with other engineering teams to ensure we build systems that are performant and configurable with architecture that's scalable and robust.

Messaging Platform Team

Messaging is a critical component in building connections with Airbnb’s users. Native engineers on the Messaging Platform team are responsible for the development and maintenance of the messaging infrastructure and core messaging functionalities that power Airbnb's messaging features. This includes tasks such as designing and implementing new platform features, and optimizing performance.  Auto-Translate is an example of a recent feature developed by our team, which has made Airbnb’s native messaging experience more seamless for our global user base.  

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Product Managers, Experience Designers and Engineers to design and deliver high-quality products on iOS
• Build efficient and reusable mobile components and architect reliable, performant, and scalable mobile solutions
• Mentor, guide, advocate and support the career growth of individual contributors
• Identify areas of improvement and drive mobile best practices

Your Expertise

• 5-9+ years’ experience with a BA/Masters or 2+ with PhD, developing iOS applications at scale with a high volume of users, preferably in Swift and SwiftUI
• You possess strong product sense and a passion for iOS UI and UX product development
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product Management, Design, and other iOS, Android, and Web Engineers
• You’re passionate about continuous learning and innovation in the mobile industry
• Sound engineering and coding skills. Understanding of basic data structures and asynchronous programming

Your Location

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Airbnb,Inc. can be employed in states where we have registered entities. Currently, employees can not be located in: Alaska, Indiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Delaware and Rhode Island.
