THE ROLE

We are seeking a talented Senior IT Specialist who will establish the foundational processes and procedures for our studio, and address daily IT requests quickly and efficiently. This role will work closely with various teams across the organization to ensure that technology systems and services meet the demands of our development, production, and operational processes. In this position, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our IT infrastructure.

YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Manage and maintain our network infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues encountered by employees.
• Implement and enforce security protocols to protect company data and systems from cyber threats.
• Coordinate the deployment and configuration of software applications used in game development, production, and other business functions.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
• Maintain an inventory of hardware, software licenses, and other IT assets, and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.

ABOUT YOU

• A love for playing and making amazing games
•  8+ years of experience in a lead IT and/or lead software security role
• Passionate about implementing greenfield IT policies and infrastructure with the freedom to design and lead to the right solutions
• Experience with the challenges of IT across remote organizations spanning different time zones, countries, and continents
• Strong knowledge of industry-standard tools for IT asset management (VMWare WorkspaceOne, Jamf, etc) and asset compliance (Chef, Puppet, etc)
• Experience managing IT in Windows physical and virtual environments
• Self-motivated, with great time management skills
• Willing to take risks and learn from failure

PLUSES

• Strong experience with cloud computing (AWS) and security practices (AWS Security Hub, IAM, roles and policies, VPC configurations)
• Proven experience in IT administration, preferably in a gaming or entertainment industry environment.
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with Powershell, Bash, Python
