This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior IV&V Test Engineer in the United States.
This role is a senior-level position responsible for leading independent verification and validation (IV&V) efforts across enterprise software releases. You will ensure that systems meet functional, non-functional, security, and compliance requirements before deployment, providing objective assurance to stakeholders. The position emphasizes automation, integration with CI/CD pipelines, and comprehensive non-functional testing, including performance, scalability, and reliability. You will work collaboratively with development and operations teams while maintaining independence to deliver defensible, high-quality results. This role provides an opportunity to shape test strategies, advance automation frameworks, and strengthen the operational integrity of large-scale federal systems.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead independent verification and validation (IV&V) efforts for enterprise software releases.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies aligned with federal IV&V best practices.
  • Validate functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Ensure compliance and traceability through clear documentation and reporting of test results.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and maintain robust automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate effectively with development, DevSecOps, and operations teams while maintaining independent oversight.
  • Identify risks impacting system availability, stability, or compliance and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise software testing with demonstrated IV&V expertise.
  • Strong experience in non-functional testing, including performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in developing test strategies, traceability matrices, and compliance documentation.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Preferred: experience in federal modernization programs, grant or financial systems, high-volume transactional systems, SQL-based data validation, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as CSQA, ISTQB, or Agile certifications are a plus.
