Senior Jira Administrator

• Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Jira Data Center and cloud instances, and other Atlassian products including: Confluence, Access, Trello, and various plugins
• Be a change agent to drive transformation of how we manage work
• Drive innovation on how work is performed using Jira
• Create custom Jira projects, complex workflows and permission schemas
• Act as an advisor on Jira version upgrades
• Create training material and standard operating procedure documentation
• Provide formal and informal training to Jira users, and less experienced Jira Admins
• Provide guidance and direction to less experience Jira Admins
• Identify, test and recommend new plugins to meet project requirements
• Define access permission schemas for internal and external Dropbox users
• Be a key contact for Atlassian support
• Align Jira with PMO processes and standards (Waterfall, Agile and Kanban)
• Install, configure and administer Atlassian tool set, including Jira Data Center and Cloud
• Troubleshoot application issues and add-on integration issues in Jira and Confluence working with Atlassian support
• Gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize/improve Jira setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests
• Develop metrics dashboards and advanced filters in Jira to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports
• Using Jira REST APIs, develop one-off solutions for integrations with other tools, automate manual processes, data migration routines and extract data for reporting and analytics purposes
• Provide User Management and support for users, manage system access across groups to ensure compliance, and maintain best practices. Create and manage security schemes, custom fields and configurations
• Install, manage and administer Jira add-ons, plugins, and extensions
• Develop process workflow for Jira Agile, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes in Jira
• Management of other reporting and collaboration in the environment
• Providing assistance in the management and support of integrations between tools in development landscape, including : Jira, Confluence, Access, Servicenow, Okta, etc.

• 5+ years experience as a Jira / Atlassian Administrator 
• Experience administering Jira / Confluence environments with a mixture of on-premises and cloud & migration on-premises to cloud and vice versa
• Solid understanding of Agile principles and project management methodologies
• Experience with Jira version upgrades
• Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language)

For candidates hired in San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $133,300 - $156,800 - $180,300 if you are assessed at the IC3 level. If you are instead assessed at the IC4 level, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $157,800 - $185,600 - $213,400. 

For candidates hired in the following locations: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro) and Washington DC metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $119,900 - $141,100 - $162,300 if you are assessed at the IC3 level. If you are instead assessed at the IC4 level, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $142,000 - $167,000 - $192,100. 

For candidates hired in all other US locations, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is currently $106,600 - $125,400 - $144,200 if you are assessed at the IC3 level. If you are instead assessed at the IC4 level, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $126,200 - $148,500 - $170,800.

Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. 

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
