About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a Legal Business Partner to sit in the respective Leadership Teams of Medical Affairs, New Product Launch, and Hong Kong and provide strategic legal support to the relevant business leaders
• Identify business opportunities while enhance internal governance of Medical Affairs, New Product Launch, and Hong Kong to support strategic priorities and innovative growth with integrity
• With solution-driven mindset, identify risks relating to business activities, align and implement potential solutions thereof (including but not limited to contract drafting and negotiation for licensing & distribution & CSO transactions)
• Closely monitor the legislative development in the relevant areas, raise business awareness of the relevant legal risks and conduct proper trainings
• Coordinate with and instruct external counsel for the relevant corporate filings and litigation-related matters (if any)
• Contribute to institutional knowledge of China Legal Team and lead legal projects/initiatives (if any)

Essential Requirements:

• Graduated with law degrees from reputable law schools in China; overseas education experience is preferred
• 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in reputable law firms is a must
• While prior in-house experience with a pharmaceutical company or a multinational enterprise in a regulated industry is a plus, it is not a must
• Solid legal technical skills (including drafting and oral communication skills in English)
• Open-minded, sharp in issue spotting, and solution-driven
• Excellent inter-personal skills, organizational savvy though with the courage to stick to professionalism; a believer of simplicity
• Outgoing, proactive and collaborative
