Position Summary:

This role will report to the Senior Director, Mobile Strategy and Analysis to drive product and channel strategy in the US market. The individual will support the Plano, Texas-based SEA Mobile Strategy Analytics teams, other internal stakeholder orgs (Carrier accounts, product marketing, Business planning, etc.,) and the Headquarters based North America product marketing organization.

The Senior Manager of Mobile Business Analytics is responsible for managing Samsung Mobile division mobile data and support to derive insights for competitive strategy, market tracking in terms of market share, and analytics for Samsung's Mobile business in the U.S., which include Mobile Phones, Tablets, and PC (Samsung's B2B Mobile Business). Among them, the individual will mainly support Business to Business market TAM and MS analysis. Also, maintain excellent liaison between leadership and team

Role and Responsibilities

B2B Strategy and Analytics Senior Manager will own, build and support B2B TAM and Market Share tracking for Carrier (CBS) and Non-Carrier (IT Channel) via Samsung Mobile Division Internal system. As B2B Strategist own ongoing development and distribution of CBS insights and competitor analysis.

Responsibilities:

Publish B2B TAM and Market Share (M/S) Data (Monthly or weekly if possible) and (CBS & IT Channel) Build and populate weekly B2B TAM and M/S in Internal system for Carrier (CBS) and Non-Carrier (IT Channel) for HHP (Priority), Tablet and PC productsOwn, Identify & Onboard TAM source for Weekly Carrier (CBS) and Non-Carrier TAM data. Internal B2B data must include:

Vendor

Company size

Price tier

RTM (CBS, IT Channel at minimum)

Vertical (e.g. Banking, Airline etc.,)

Integrate new TAM Data with Internal System

Coordinate with B2B Operations to identify and integrate all required B2B Samsung Sales Data into Samsung Mobile Division's Internal system

  • Currently, Data under represents B2B Revenue; it is based on FOTA activations vs POS

Incorporate B2B TAM/MS into all standard Mobile Division MS reporting

Provide Insights and Competitor Analysis (CBS Only) Conduct B2B CBS TAM, MS and competitor analysis; publish/provide actionable insights to guide sales, product and marketing teams Conduct cadence calls with B2C and B2B to review data insights and accuracy Monitor and analyze B2B competitive activity, customer and market trend data Contribute to the development of sales plans and objectives Provide sophisticated, detailed and creative analysis and clearly communicate results through written and verbal channels Support development of high-impact B2B presentations

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Preferably in Business, Statistics/Finance, Analytics major/background
  • 8+ years' Experience with Bachelor Degree or 6+ years with Masters degree preferably in Business, Statistics/Finance, Analytics with relevant experience in analytics, strategy, supply chain, mobile industry (Smartphone, Tablets, PCs, etc.) / B2B channel, Big 3 Carrier industry experience a plus
  • Strong preference for experience managing data sets, understanding of data hierarches and project management, familiar with syndicated research
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively with people in a variety of corporate roles
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, interpretation of business metrics
  • Advanced Power Point and Excel skills preferred

Necessary Skills and Attributes

  • Contribute to strategic business decision making by deriving insight from market and consumer data on the main issues of the brand, product and channel
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, statistical analysis, ability to draw key insights from data and the "so what?" contributing to midterm and long term strategy.
  • Ability to reconcile conflicting interpretation of data on market sell out and direction, competitor insights and strategy, experience working with syndicated research such as Tech Insights, Circana, Gap Intelligence, TraQline, or IDC a plus, experience communicating with outside stakeholders is a must.
  • Manage the daily operations of an internal market sensing system, support account team requests while ensuring business requirements are met in a timely fashion. Strong understanding of data hierarchies and strong commitment and responsibility for due diligence.
  • Deliver regular/ad-hoc reports with actionable recommendations to Mobile division and Samsung Executive team, demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced work environment with shifting priorities, you are comfortable in ambiguity and can work to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and relationship management. Experience working cross functionally in a highly matrixed organization, can come to mutually beneficial solutions to all stakeholders.
  • Experience working with large data sets, Power Query, and Tableau a plus
