Job Purpose and OverviewAppfire is seeking a full-time Senior Manager! In this critical role, unlocking the next phase of Appfire’s data driven decision making, you will have responsibility and ownership of creating and executing on Appfire’s enterprise-wide data strategy. Our Data Engineering team is responsible for building, maintaining and optimizing all data pipelines across Appfire, and the ownership of our central data asset, Snowflake. You will manage and leverage tools connecting, describing and activating our data ecosystem across the company with technologies such as DBT, Airflow, Airbyte and Sisense while deploying best-in-class solutions that sets Appfire up for long-term data success. You will be a key leader within our central Data Insights team providing data and analytics expertise that support company-wide initiatives. Leveraging your expertise in data stack design, you will rally a team of Data Engineers and lead them from the front through your own individual contributor assignments. You will build key relationships across Appfire in support of a deep understanding of business needs, and pathways to solutioning them. You will build a vision for where Appfire’s data stack is going, and how we’re going to get there. Appfire is growing quickly and we have a lot to accomplish together.What You'll Accomplish:

Be the company-wide leader of Appfire’s Data ecosystem, building a vision for what Data Engineering means to the company and a roadmap of value to achieving that vision.
Lead a team of global Data Engineers developing and implementing solutions that connect, monitor and activate our data ecosystem while increasing its robustness, capabilities, and cost-effectiveness.

About You:

10+ years experience in data engineering with a solid understanding of data warehousing approaches and best practices
2+ years experience leading Data Engineering teams and subject matter experts
Strong written and verbal skills in English
Strong organization skills and experience creating concurrent impact on multiple projects on both the individual contributor and team level
Experience building company-wide data strategies
Experience rallying a team towards purpose under a unified vision
Python/SQL programming required
Comfort working remotely with minimal supervision
AWS/DBT/Snowflake experience required
Airflow/Airbyte experience preferred
Experience with production model pipelines and Data Science / Machine Learning technology stack preferred
