Summary: As a Sr. Manager Data Reporting, you will lead a team of report developers and work closely with technical and business stakeholders in delivering Enterprise Reporting solutions at Onbe. We are looking for a hands-on technical leader with people leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Define overall BI Reporting Architecture and lead the design and development of BI platform, semantic modeling, analytics reporting, and dashboard capabilities focusing on Microsoft Toolkit.
- Lead and manage the team of developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive growth and retain talents.
- Leads implementation of best practice standards on user management, release management, document management, and data governance.
- Partner with the Data Engineering Manager in defining and designing robust data models to support enterprise reporting solutions.
- Implement industry-standard processes for operational excellence and Agile product development lifecycle methodologies.
- Detailed-oriented leader with a focus on quality, reliability, and data accuracy.
- Proactively monitors & report on the BI platform, provide transparency into resource utilization, and recommend areas of improvement.
- Lead the team's workload and resources, ensuring effective prioritization and capacity planning to meet project demands.
- Stay updated on emerging technology trends in data analytics and perform the discovery of any new tools/capabilities to improve the organization's data foundations.
Supervisory Responsibility
Supervisory responsibilities include developing and overseeing employee work schedules within the enterprise agile framework, approving PTO requests, and completing employee performance appraisals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years prior management experience
- At least 12+ years of experience designing and implementing business intelligence reporting solutions.
- Proven work experience in Microsoft tech stack, primarily focusing on Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, and Report Manager.
- Must have extensive hands-on experience working with all aspects of Power BI, including development, Portal integration, administration, and security.
- Experience in data modeling, database optimization, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud, ADF, and Synapse are a big plus.
- Exposure to SQL Server, Snowflake, and other cloud-based database platforms
- Superb communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical solutions to Executive leadership.
- Experience in managing both full-time team members and contractors.
- Ability to work well with others, harness different skills and experience, and build a strong sense of team spirit.
- Financial domain knowledge is preferred but not required.
Travel Requirements
- The position is 100% remote, with the requirement to travel within the United States a few times a year for team meetings, company events, or local gatherings.
The base salary range for this position is between $142,920 to $168,000, plus commission. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand. If this position resides within the United States, it can be office-based, hybrid, or fully remote within the continental United States. Onbe’s employee base is mostly clustered in the Eastern and Central time zones, with offices in suburban Philadelphia and suburban Chicago. Some periodic travel may be required.
