The Senior Manager for Deployment Services has the overall responsibility for the successful conclusion of all deployment projects. The incumbent would establish and lead the Deployment Services group, and have overall responsibility for directing the efforts of his/her team on hardware/software/services deployments engaged by the company, and ensuring successful, timely, and profitable deployment, installation, and commissioning. Provide leadership and strategically manage risk, monitor finances and ensure each phase of work is started and completed on time

Role and Responsibilities

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develops departmental goals and objectives, and annual budgets (operational and capital) that support strategic goals and objectives. Monitors and facilitates monthly project financial reviews, investigates variances, and recommends or adjusts operations using LEAN techniques. Ensures Deployment Services team members complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Manages and direct all Deployment Services coordinators and Project Managers
  • Provides oversite for all large, complex deployments projects involving hardware / software installation, system integration, commissioning, and other professional services.
  • Plays a lead role in management meetings, presenting relevant operational presentations and updates
  • Directly involved in managing deployment project cost analysis with Project Accounting for complex projects to ensure consistent profitability on all assigned projects, and to identify and make improvements where needed. This includes substantial completion certification and final acceptance from customers.
  • Direct P&L accountability for the Deployment Services team
  • Responsible for the execution of the company's strategic goals in line with the company's vision and the outlined direction and budgets of the company. This includes risk identification, revenue projection and recognition.
  • Creates the structure and processes necessary to manage the organization's current activities and its projected growth through the design, development and implementation of Departmental policies and procedures with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Directs and coordinates the establishment of budget, project costing and standardized pricing programs to meet profitability goals.
  • Analyzes general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.

Skills and Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in A/V industry, with a focus on system integration, installation, and/or construction. Experience managing complex projects for commercial, sports, retail and mixed-use projects at minimum $2M - $20M.
  • Experience in successfully leading projects and programs, on-schedule and within budget.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project controls, project management, construction documentation, and sequencing
  • Working knowledge of construction costs, alternate materials/methods, value-engineering techniques, local codes and applicable laws.
  • Ability to manage, collaborate with, and influence key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in the face of deadlines; exhibits good listening, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; and handles confidential information with discretion.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent leadership, people management, communication and influencing skills: able to effectively motivate and direct employees and contractors.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously
  • Excellent time management, documentation, communication, organization, and personal effectiveness skills, as well as good computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Outstanding internal and external customer service skills with the ability to respond appropriately and effectively to the most sensitive issues.

Compensation for this role for a candidate based in Colorado is expected to be between $143,500.00 and $151,000.00, but may be higher or lower in other states due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.

Compensation for this role is expected to be between $153,500.00 and $168,500.00. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
