The Senior Manager of Healthcare Analytics will work with Analytics, Operations, Market, and Finance peers, team members, and leaders to define, develop, and deliver effective analytics with actionable insights that serve multiple stakeholders. VillageMD sees the ability to improve patient outcomes, deliver better care, and lower unnecessary cost and utilization based on actionable insights delivered by the Analytics team as a critical part of its strategy to transform primary care.

How you can make a difference 

During your first year, you can expect the following professional challenges:  

• Build relationships with senior level operations leadership to understand multifaceted business problems and develop analytical solutions to complex issues
• Work closely and collaboratively with peers to solve problems with hands on ability to execute
• Get up to speed on our data model and business model, and make recommendations for changes to improve analytics for specifically identified markets
• Mine patient and healthcare provider data from multiple sources, including medical claims data, pharmacy claims data and clinical data from electronic medical records, to discover key analytical insights for decision support
• Build and continuously monitor reports and dashboards to track key healthcare quality and efficiency metrics by physician
• Own the Analytics for understanding clinic operational performance across our clinic revenue cycle, day-to-day business operations, and clinical operations.
• Manage and develop a team of analysts, each specializing in a different area of clinic operations

As a successful Senior Manager, Healthcare Analytics, you possess, 

• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to develop new reporting and analytics in a new environment
• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels and across functions of the organization
• Think clearly, communicate concisely, and collaborate always.  
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, find peace in chaos, and absorb information quickly to create a plan.  
• Ability to lead and develop a team of analysts and senior analysts
• Ability to partner with Analytics leaders and peers, and Operational customers to understand business problems, elicit requirements, develop analysis and reporting roadmap, and deliver results according to project plan while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• A clear focus on delivering actionable insights to help operational customers deliver better care, improve patient outcomes, and lower unnecessary cost and utilization
• Experience with SQL, R or other open-source analytical tools
• Experience with Athena EMR / Athena DataView is a plus
• Experience with clinic revenue cycle and finance data is a plus
• The ability to handle multiple, concurrent projects
• Challenging the status quo to improve our processes and tools
• A low ego; an ability to gain trust by doing what you say you will do  

Experience to drive change 

• BS/MS in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, math, engineering, economics, or other related fields is preferred
• 5+ years of full-time in analytics and reporting roles
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including executive leadership presentation skills
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
• Track record of successfully executing projects in collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

For Colorado Residents only: The base compensation range for this role is $110,000 to $135,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. This role may be eligible for annual/quarterly bonus incentives (if applicable), and the selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan with company match.
