Zayo is looking for a leader for our HR & Legal Technology functions. This is a unique opportunity that will enable Zayo's rapid growth and support our People & Culture and Legal strategies.
Responsibilities
  • Leads direction-setting for the technology products supporting Zayo's People & Culture and Legal teams. Collaborates (EVP to Individual Contributors) to drive a connected business process and technology automation roadmap.
  • Owns the product vision, strategy and roadmap and is actively engaged in driving work to realize value and move metrics.
  • Develops and implements product strategies consistent with company vision, collecting and analyzing customers' feedback, collaborates with stakeholders to shape requirements, features, and end products.
  • Communicates internally and externally to evangelize vision and inspire all stakeholders to get them on the same page.
  • Develops product launch plans, messaging, and all elements necessary to maximize release/launch success.
  • Manages all aspects of the relationship between the business and technology teams. (unifying concerns as diverse as functionality, reliability, incident response, work scheduling, etc.)
  • Leads an internal team (1-3) and a larger external team (5-12 operating in a managed service model). Total budget of $4-7M.

  • Scope of Decision Making: Within the P&C domain makes decisions about strategic technology priorities, appropriate role of technology in meeting business needs, investment priorities, and technology vendors.
  • Role: Position is deliberately crafted as a mix of hands-on technology product management and team leadership.

Qualifications
  • Proven track record taking ownership of products from conceptual ideas to actual launch and sustainment
  • Has demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring staff. Should be excellent at setting goals, evaluating performance, providing feedback, coaching, and developing people as individuals and as a team.
  • Has demonstrated experience with Workday and is familiar with the platform's capabilities and how to leverage those capabilities to establish and continually improve the operations of an HR organization and the larger enterprise.
  • Has demonstrated experience operating in a managed services environment and knows how to set performance objectives for a 3rd party provider and coach the provider to provide maximum value. (as opposed to individual contracting)
  • Has expert-level communication and collaboration skills. Listens well, writes well. Is the catalyst that when added to a team improves their focus and performance.
  • Ability to motivate and focus people resources where there is no direct reporting relationship
  • Is proactive and pursues continuous improvement and value with a passion

Base pay range: $112,500 - $165,000, commensurate with experience
