About the Role:

Unite Us is seeking a self-driven, experienced Senior Manager of Engineering to lead our efforts in building out Search infrastructure. As a leader in the Technology team, you will be a critical bridge between the strategic decisions being made by company leadership and turning that vision and intention into a releasable and valuable product. You will help set architectural directions and ensure that technical designs and decisions are properly evaluated in line with the product goals and roadmap. In order to accomplish these tasks, you will need to cultivate a dynamic, ever-learning team culture that seeks to create value for customers in a continuous manner. What You'll Do:

• Lead the team developing search infrastructure, intelligent resource matching, and ensure the scalability and performance of the service.

• Review and manage team performance from technical and personnel perspective.

• Collaborate with product and other engineering teams to extend the platform.

What's Required:

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in delivering high-quality software solutions.
• 3+ years of direct management experience with product-focused engineering teams.
• Expertise in people leadership, technical, operational change management.
• Significant Agile experience.
• Experience building RESTful APIs.
• Deeply versed in modern web technologies. 
• Experience with Git and commitment to automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure.
• Open communication and collaboration. 
• Fluent in speaking and writing English. 

Pluses: 

• Experience with designing applications (Ruby on Rails) for the cloud (AWS). 
• Experience with search technologies (Elasticsearch or Solr).

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

• This position is remote, U.S. based
• Target range: $180,000-200,000. This salary range represents our national target range for this role. Some geographic areas may have higher target ranges, including certain localities in Colorado.
• All team members will be required to pass a background check which includes criminal, employment, and education verification
