Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

Be the go-to design leader for Design Systems, doing what it takes to deliver a desirable and cohesive product experience.

  • Actively manage, motivate, and level-up a group of product designers assigned to different competencies within the Design System’s team.
  • Partner with each of your direct reports to ensure a clear career development plan and consistent feedback loop on where they are excelling and know how to improve.
  • Contribute to the overall product design direction, effectively present training, lead workshops, and advocate for best practices within our Design System across the product design team as a whole.
  • Help to maintain Design System principles and set goals that align the team under you, your engineering partners, and the broader content/research/design organization.
  • Drive decision-making and communication of necessary design system updates, progress, and needs on a regular basis. 
  • Drive success - Define design execution plans inline with product roadmaps and implement for best results and to help achieve business goals. Help facilitate cross-functional meetings with engineering to coordinate efforts and show progress against plans.
  • Create clarity - Establish best practices within the team to help achieve high-quality design deliverables. Cultivate a data-driven design approach by actively engaging the team with data analytics, usability insights, and other funnel data to inspire new design directions.
  • Inspire energy - Lead and mentor a team of talented designers and also scale to support new requirements. Embody genuine empathy for people.

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • 8-10 years of experience in a design leadership management role, responsible for both junior and senior individual contributors, leading or managing a team of at least 4 or more
  • Extensive experience in building product experiences for consumer/enterprise software products
  • An outstanding portfolio demonstrating design strategy & design system related works that influenced business outcomes
  • Experience in building highly effective design teams focused on delivering consistent user experiences
  • Experience in partnering with diverse teams in dynamic, fast-paced, and growth environments
  • Demonstrated leadership experience closely partnering with product and engineering leaders to ensure that design systems support the product development strategy and execution plan
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Growth mindset is a MUST
  • Experience in mergers and acquisition or converging of existing design systems a PLUS
  • Report to a Director of Product Design
