About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to join our Quote-to-Cash team and play a key role for end-to-end processing and system efficiencies to recognize revenue. You will help us re-design and document our processes and procedures, and drive projects to re-configure our Quote-to-Cash Tech Stack for best-in-class revenue recognition processing. The work you do will improve customer contract draft and order processing, QTC controls and monthly close time for revenue accounting. Your work will also impact cross-functional teams related to forecasting, pricing, deal closure and financial reporting. 

Your job will be to:a. Drive Revenue Accounting Function
  • Manage multiple company revenue streams across global operations
  • Technical revenue accounting expertise and experience on applying revenue recognition topics for software companies under ASC 606
  • Review, analyze and document complex revenue arrangements including combined contracts and contract modifications
  • Review new contracts for non-standard terms and conditions, and ensure the related revenue is compliant with ASC 606
  • Maintain SSP for the Company’s products and services
  • Responsible for financial statement close activities related to revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivables
  • Identify and resolve revenue related issues promptly
  • Own and manage all revenue activities with external auditors
b. Drive IPO readiness initiatives
  • Establish revenue policies and monitoring compliance with revenue policies under ASC 606
  • Write Technical Revenue memos under ASC 606
  • Write processes and procedures, to include identifying key internal controls
  • Ensure revenue close cycles are efficient and meet tight deadlines
  • Oversee, design and document internal controls for testing and compliance under Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) Section 404
c. Drive Revenue Initiatives Cross-functionally
  • Work effectively with finance and accounting teams, as well as cross functional teams, including revenue, services, and legal
  • Advise Deal Desk and field sales team on revenue impact for non-standard contract terms
  • Collaborate across all Quote-to-Cash functions for improvements in processes and converting manual work to more efficient methods and/or changes in our systems and tools
  • Initiate and implement process improvements for the revenue accounting function to be more efficient, accurate and timely
  • Design or modify existing process checklists to align with controls and process efficiencies
d. Manage a team
  • Coordinate your team members to work towards a common goal
  • Allocate resources and assign responsibilities
  • Mentor, train and develop a global revenue accounting team
You have the following experience and qualities:Professional experience
  • 5+ years’ experience managing revenue/technical accounting with an accelerated growth public or pre-IPO company in the software or technology industry
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields
  • Big Four public accounting experience or equivalent
  • Certified Public Accountant – active license required
  • Technical revenue accounting background (ASC 606) and experience writing technical memos on revenue recognition topics for software companies
  • Knowledge of strong internal control environments, preferably within the software industry and including experience with SaaS revenue streams
  • Experience using Salesforce, NetSuite and NetSuite ARM preferred, experience with similar revenue accounting systems accepted
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills related to accounting data

The base salary range for this position is $150,000-$200,000. The pay range actually offered will take into account a variety of potential factors considered in compensation, including but not limited to skills, qualifications, geographic location, accomplishments, experience, credentials, internal equity and business needs, and may vary from the range listed above.
