Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Test Engineering will lead a fast paced engineering team focused on supporting global sustaining and high-volume production test of leading edge RF products. The selected candidate will be involved in all aspects of deploying and sustaining wafer sort and final test solutions, including project planning, staffing, execution, budget and scheduling. The position reports into the Test Engineering Director and works closely with Product Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Production teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

  • Serving as a liaison between new test development and manufacturing teams to facilitate new product introduction and sustaining of existing products
  • Managing the coordinating with internal and remote production test facilities to establish, qualify and sustain production ATE solutions
  • Ensuring existing methods and procedures are followed
  • Learning and mastering new automated testers and associated methods
  • Providing troubleshooting support, recurring problem detection, root cause analysis and resolution for manufacturing test issues
  • Reviewing production test methods and procedures, identifies areas for continuous improvement and drives cross functional team meetings and actions as required
  • Team Leadership: Optimize performance by motivating team by example, influence, training, and structure
  • Status Reporting: Provide periodic status reporting to internal customers and management.
  • Personnel Management:
    • Directly supervise employees. Carriers out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization processes.
    • Responsibilities include hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; apprising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an Engineering/Production environment
  • 4+ years of experience in a management role
  • Demonstrated test development experience in new product introduction and/or sustaining existing test solutions in high volume production of integrated circuit products - packaged IC or wafer probe
  • Strong leadership and technical/personnel management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
  • Demonstrate experience interfacing with senior management, performing analysis, making tradeoff decisions and using project management techniques and accountability
  • Understands RF, high speed digital and mixed signal test methodologies
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Ability to use data analysis tools, apply engineering methods and draw conclusions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with OSAT's on turnkey test developments
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages including one of the following: National Instruments CVI, C, C++
  • Sense of urgency to meet requirements on schedule
  • Ability to clearly assess and manage risk
  • Strength in documentation clarity and completeness
  • Ability to multi-task and work competently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Education Requirements

  • BS required, MS preferred (Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering)

$165,422.03 - $231,606.72 per year
