Job context:
Spotlight Sports Group is a collection of industry leading companies that specialise in media services and content syndication, with a focus on all major betting sports including Football, Soccer and Racing. The company publishes multiple digital B2C platforms and in the UK operates a daily national newspaper. It also operates a large global B2B content and product syndication division.
The group has invested significantly in the development of digital/multimedia services for both existing and potential markets, whilst ensuring best in class content services are provided through its growing B2B business. Spotlight Sports Group is a leading digital publisher and content provider with a number of world-class websites, spearheaded by Pickswise, Racing Post, MyRacing, Freesupertips and Fantasy Alarm. The group also delivers a significant content services portfolio to the sportsbetting and iGaming industries, offering a broad ranging supply of news, analysis, opinion and verdicts, in multiple formats, across all sports and in over 68 languages. Through the ICS Digital business the group also operates a global content marketing agency delivering market leading SEO and translation services.
This position is key to the growth of the US B2B business that provides services to companies like NBC Sports and Sports Illustrated.
Reports to: Senior Vice President US B2B Partnerships
Accountabilities:
  • Develop B2B partnerships within sports to deliver contracted value (profit) to Spotlight Sports Group from affiliate led media partnerships and fixed fee product or software sales.
  • Proactively manage a front-end customer pipeline split by business sector, utilising the group CRM tool to provide forecasting and accurate marketplace insight at all times.
  • Manage and take responsibility over market leading standards in all sales materials, such as proposals, partnership decks and presentations.
  • Identify viable revenue growth opportunities and create business cases from partnerships to be approved by management.
  • Develop outstanding external relationships and hold responsibility over the management of the full sales process in order to contract new, profitable business for Spotlight Sports Group across all relevant sales channels.
  • Regular travel within North America in order to pursue and close relevant commercial opportunities.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional and effective manner reflecting the high standards of integrity and service associated with Spotlight Sports Group.
  • Be a touchpoint for all U.S. B2B clients and potential partners, with a specific focus on industry networking and relationship building, to maximise the development of partner relations.
  • Plan and execute the commercial policies of the group across all viable opportunities for the provision of sports betting and fantasy sports related products and services.
  • Any other duties as and when required.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in sports betting company in the US
  • Highly motivated self-starter with high level of personal achievement
  • An excellent knowledge of how the US betting marketplace is evolving and awareness of key markets and opportunities for growth
  • An ability to spot and capitalise on B2B revenue generating opportunities
  • Understanding of affiliate marketing and affiliate marketing landscape for sports betting, iGaming and other verticals
  • An innovator who possesses vision and enjoys generating and executing new ideas
  • Solid organisational skills and detailed-oriented approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills and networking capabilities
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong IT software skills like the use of Microsoft Office and Google spaces

Desired:
  • Experience with HubSpot or other CRM software
  • Direct experience with affiliate marketing
  • Partnership and relationship sales experience
  • Technical understanding of how software as a service products are used and deployed
  • Fantasy sports player and sports wagerer
  • Fan of multiple US sports and understanding of all sports
