Who you are

Are you a creative thinker and talented designer who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment? Do you enjoy producing high impact marketing collateral, events and social media plans? Are you equally as comfortable spearheading marketing campaigns as working on design projects within brand guidelines?

We are looking for someone with a passion for marketing to join our amazing team as a Senior Marketing Manager. This role has the wonderful opportunity to champion the growth of the Colliers brand across Virginia and Raleigh while providing support and strategic direction to marketing professionals in multiple offices.

You are well known for having cutting-edge ideas and implementing them. You successfully guide projects from concept to execution in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. You are an excellent communicator who also has experience training marketing professionals in the Commercial Real Estate industry. You love working both independently and collaboratively to determine effective solutions for your clients. If these describe you, then you are who we're looking for!

What you need
  • At least 6-8 years of marketing experience in a professional services environment
  • Minimum 1-2 years of commercial real estate experience
  • Experience in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • Experience training marketing professionals in both group and one-on-one environments Capacity to write and generate content with strong editing and proofreading skills with an emphasis on business writing and an understanding articulating client value
  • Graphic design experience with proficiency in full Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is required
  • Ability to create and implement various digital and print marketing campaigns and run analytics to provide ROI
  • Ability to shift priorities and deliver projects on a timely basis, well organized, excellent time management skills and ability to interface with top level executives.
  • A strong work ethic, the strength to thrive in a dynamic and demanding work environment, and an ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Willingness to travel between multiple offices in Norfolk, Richmond and Raleigh


Bonus skills and experience
  • Experience with web-based applications (Ceros, Brandcast)
  • Experience with video editing


What success looks like
  • You will directly supervise the marketing support team to include performance management, oversight, development, hiring, staffing, managing priorities
  • You will work with other departments to implement strategic communications initiatives, including marketing efforts and development/execution of communications/marketing plans.
  • You will assist with aligning internal and external communications initiatives to positively promote brand, client and employee messages to all core audiences internally and externally
  • You will serve as marketing liaison between regional marketing, national marketing and Operations Manager and marketing teams on progress and timeliness of property marketing and business development deliverables for the market
  • You will develop and write key sections for marketing strategy, market overview, team bios, website content, and company information
  • You will provide guidance and advice to the marketing team, client services staff and work with researchers and brokerage teams on pitch and proposal presentation materials across offices in Norfolk, Richmond and Raleigh
  • Oversee external communications and promotions with the media through press releases, advertisements, social media, and other means.
  • You will be instrumental in the onboarding, training, and coordination of marketing professionals across multiple offices, helping increase the overall level of expertise throughout the group
  • You will assist in execution for high value custom property campaigns and detailed budget across multiple platforms, defining metrics and reporting
  • You have experience with project management and execution of marketing collateral and bring a knowledge of marketing campaigns and innovative solutions to your clients
  • You will collect competitive marketing information (styles, platforms, technologies competitors use) from various sources (samples of BOV's, pitches, websites, social media, open house venues/ideas, etc.) and continually looks for, suggests, and implements new and improved/creative ways to help brokers offer the highest quality marketing materials and technologies to the industry.
