Senior Mist Wireless Engineer - Design (Remote)

This is a 10 month contract. With the potential to go full-time/permanent.

What you'll do at Insight:

• Actively participate in the assessment, planning, designing, and implementing of Wireless solutions.
• Design, deploy, support and troubleshoot large-scale network and wireless implementations.
• Maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex network/wireless problems.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

What you'll need to join Insight:

• 5+ years implementing and troubleshooting Networking and Wireless technologies.
• Growth in technical skills through wireless certifications (CWNA/CWDP/CWAP) or other similar achievements is required.
• Growth in technical skills through network certifications (CCNP/CCDP/JNCIP/CCIE) or other similar achievements is desired.
• ECSE Design, Troubleshooting, or Advanced Certifications are a plus
• Expert understanding of wireless requirements and WiFi Standards.
• Extensive experience creating complex wireless designs.
• Understanding of multiple manufacturers and AP models, including optimized used for each model.
• Adept in switching configuration, troubleshooting and installation specifically on Cisco, HPe/Aruba, Meraki or Juniper switches.
• Experience with using Ekahau and/or AirMagnet for predictive wireless designs.
• Ability to travel extensively within North America.
• Ability to think on your feet and solve issues.
• Available for evening and overnight work as needed.
• Ability to perform onsite wireless surveys using Ekahau sidekicks or AirMagnet software.
• Ability to work in a team environment with other engineers.

Salary: $70/$80/hourly
